Services
Collaboration
Our statistics and data science collaborators are trained to help design experiments, analyze and plot data, run statistical software, interpret results, and communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians. The collaborators are faculty and students from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. Services provided by our collaborators are charged at a moderate rate. KNUST faculty, staff, and students receive a discounted rate determined by the center. The earlier in your research you request statistical advice, the better; so learn more about our collaboration service or Request a Collaboration Meeting.
LISA Statistics Walk-in Hours
Walk-in statistical consulting is offered from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays and Sundays. Consults are open to all researchers, from undergraduates to faculty members and beyond. Clients can walk-in at no charge to discuss their domain problem and get solutions to the statistical issues they are facing. Walk-in consulting is closed on all public holidays. Note: we do not offer services for students’ class projects and homework.
Short Courses
Short courses are still currently being developed. However, starting November 2019 we are organizing a weekly free seminar series titled ‘’Time With a Statistician’’. The seminar series aims to improve statistical literacy in KNUST. Participants would have an opportunity to ask and get response to any statistics related queries. To secure your seat at the event, you are encouraged to sign up and submit your questions in advance.
